About Me / Us…

Hi, my name is Monique. My daughter Kalina and I just love horses. We do not consider ourselves horse experts, we are just learning and investigating and sharing our finds with you – other horse enthusiasts! We write just because we like it. And since we are a home-schooling family, all the writing my daughter does, goes to her credit. Kalina loves horse racing, race horses and everything that happens on and off the race track. She writes every day on our blog www.HorseRacingCourier.com.

We have 1 7yr old Arab gelding that is not quite grown up yet and a 23 yr old Arab broodmare that is finally retired after oh…16 or 17 foals! Some of her offspring has gone on to great results in Arab shows! Unfortunately, I had her last 2 foals. One of which had a red-bag delivery and was stillborn, and the last one missed bones in his hind feet, and had to be put to sleep. Needless to say, we don’t breed her anymore.

Kalina is an avid Dressage Rider and would love to eventually ride Grand Prix or even in the Olympics! She also was in Pony Club for a few years and made it to C-1 and was ready for her C-2 rating. That means, she was jumping 3’3″ in show jumping and x-country. But, Blue our quarter horse buddy just sold to another little Pony Clubber and Eddie (Arab) doesn’t jump much yet.

I have been learning about internet marketing for the last few years and have several courses ‘under my belt’. Of course, learning is an ongoing process and the internet is ever changing.

In Psalm 127, verse 1 it says: Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who built it. I needed to go back to basics. What does God have in mind for my life? What are my talents, my passions? We need to “lay up our treasures in Heaven, not on earth” Matt 6:19 and we all know the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30. God wants us to use our talents to glorify Him. We are to sow and then reap…

I had to do some inventory:

·         We are just horse hobby-ists, by no means experts.

·         We love dressage, show jumping, eventing, racing and other horse sports

·         I know a bit about internet marketing

·         I am proficient at product launches

·         I know about AdSense

·         I know how to create a web presence

·         I know how to create products to market on the internet

I read a great article recently from a man named Steve P. who said “The problem was that I couldn’t readily teach people to do what I do, at least not the way I do it. I’m too old school. I’ve been using the Internet since 1989, and I built my first income-generating website in 1995. Most of the money I’ve earned in my life has come from my online businesses. But my approach has been virtually un-teachable. Believe me — I’ve tried. After delivering a few workshops on blogging, it became obvious to me that I couldn’t teach this. I was overwhelming people with more info than they could handle. People got excited by the ideas, but they couldn’t implement them. In truth there’s just way too much hidden complexity in my approach.

So, as my knowledge grows, my vision expands. I will keep you posted on the developments, and direction PerformingHorse.com will be taking.  We will be offering services to the horse professional (English and western and everything in between) that so far no one has offered.
